Why garage floors fail, and how ours don’t
Most peeling garage floors have the same story: a roll-on kit or a thin coat over concrete that was only acid-washed. Here’s what we do differently.
We grind, we don’t etch
Acid etching leaves a weak, uneven surface. Diamond grinding takes off the top layer, sealers and builder curing compounds, and leaves an open profile the coating locks into.
We repair before we coat
Cracks, spalls and joints are filled so they don’t telegraph through the finish. It’s included in the quote, not an extra on the day. How we repair concrete.
Polyaspartic, top to bottom
Base coat and topcoat are both polyaspartic. That’s what makes a true one-day install possible and keeps the finish clear in sunlight.
Hot-tire rated
The topcoat is rated for hot tires, so you won’t see tread-shaped lifting after a long summer drive.
Salt and oil resistant
Road salt, brine and oil drips wipe off. No staining, no dusting concrete tracked into the house.
Grip where you need it
Full flake broadcast gives texture underfoot. We can add anti-slip to the topcoat for wet winter boots.

Polyaspartic cures in the cold, so heated and insulated garages can be done this winter. Spring dates go first-come, first-served.
Garage floor questions
How long until I can park on my new garage floor?
You can walk on it within hours of the topcoat. We ask you to wait 48 hours before driving on it so the topcoat reaches full strength.
Will hot tires lift the coating?
Hot-tire pickup happens when a coating isn’t bonded to properly ground concrete, or when a soft topcoat is used. We grind every slab and finish with a hot-tire-rated polyaspartic topcoat.
Is a flake floor slippery when wet?
Flake adds texture, and we can add an anti-slip additive to the topcoat if you want more grip, especially near the door where snow melts off the car.
Can you coat my garage in winter?
Polyaspartic cures in a much wider temperature range than epoxy, so we install through the colder months. Heated or insulated garages are ideal; we check slab temperature on the day.
What does the 5-year warranty cover?
It covers the bond and the finish of the polyaspartic system under normal residential use. We go through it with you before booking and give it to you in writing.
What about cracks and old paint?
Grinding removes paint, sealers and old coatings. Cracks, spalls and joints are filled before the base coat goes down, and that repair is included in your quote.
