Floors for businesses that get looked at

Your floor is the biggest surface in the room. It should match the brand, take the traffic and clean up in minutes at closing.

Retail and dispensaries

Seamless, non-porous floors that hold up to carts and constant foot traffic, and are easy to keep inspection-ready.

Barbershops and salons

Hair sweeps straight off, colour and chemicals wipe up, and chair bases don’t dent it. Metallic finishes in your shop colours.

Showrooms

High-gloss metallic or clean solid colour that makes vehicles and products the centre of attention.

Restaurants and cafés

Front-of-house floors with texture for grip, built to be mopped every night.

Gyms and studios

Flake and quartz floors that take rubber, sweat and dropped equipment, with slip resistance built in.

Offices and back-of-house

Durable, bright floors for corridors, storage, mechanical rooms and staff areas.

How a metallic feature floor is built

Metallic floors look poured-in-one, but they’re a system. Getting the prep and base right is what keeps the finish clear and bonded under daily customer traffic.

Commercial systems

We recommend one after the site visit, based on your traffic, your downtime window and the look you want.

A clean, uniform colour, tinted to your brand, with an anti-slip topcoat where needed.

Best forStudios, offices, back-of-house, storage

Fast-return polyaspartic

Polyaspartic base and topcoats that cure in hours, so the floor is back in service the next day.

Best forBusinesses that can’t close for more than a night or weekend

Concrete finishes

Polished concrete and grind and seal floors

Not every commercial floor needs a coating. When the slab is sound, we can turn the concrete itself into the finished floor: durable, low-maintenance and modern.

Polished concrete

Polished concrete is the slab itself, refined into a finished floor. We diamond-grind the surface with our Husqvarna planetary grinder, apply a densifier to harden the concrete, then polish with progressively finer diamonds to the sheen you want, from a soft satin to a reflective high gloss.

  • No coating to peel, chip or wear through
  • Hard, dense surface that handles heavy foot and cart traffic
  • Reflective finish that brightens the space
  • Low maintenance: dust-mop and auto-scrub
  • Choose the look: cream (minimal aggregate), salt and pepper, or exposed aggregate

Best for: retail stores, showrooms, offices, lobbies, restaurants, warehouses and new-build commercial slabs.

Grind and seal

Grind and seal is a faster, budget-friendly way to finish concrete. We diamond-grind the slab to remove glue, paint and the weak top layer, repair cracks, then apply a clear sealer that protects the floor from dust, stains and moisture while keeping a natural concrete look.

  • Lower cost than a full coating or polished system
  • Removes old adhesive, paint and surface contamination
  • Seals out concrete dust and everyday spills
  • Matte or satin finish with a clean, industrial look
  • Quick turnaround for tenant fit-outs and turnovers

Best for: offices, studios, storage rooms, back-of-house, mechanical rooms and tenant improvements.

Commercial floor questions

What is the difference between polished concrete and grind and seal?

Polished concrete is ground, densified and polished through progressively finer diamonds until the concrete itself has a hard, reflective finish. Grind and seal is a shorter process: the slab is ground clean and a clear sealer is applied on top. Polished concrete lasts longer and has more shine; grind and seal costs less and is faster to install.

Is polished concrete slippery?

Polished concrete is generally no more slippery than other hard commercial floors when clean and dry. Like any smooth floor it can be slippery when wet, so we recommend mats at entrances and can adjust the level of shine for the space.

How long will my business be closed?

It depends on the size and the system. Many storefronts and studios are done over a weekend or a run of evenings. With a polyaspartic topcoat, foot traffic can return the next morning. You get a schedule in writing before we start.

Can you work after hours?

Yes. Evening, overnight and weekend installs are normal for us on commercial jobs, so you don’t lose trading days.

Can you match our brand colours?

Solid colour floors can be tinted to your colours, and metallic floors are built from a base colour and accent pigments you pick with us on a sample board.

Is a coated floor slippery?

A high-gloss floor can be slippery when wet, so for customer areas we add an anti-slip aggregate to the topcoat or use a flake or quartz texture. We match the grip to the space.

Do you provide insurance and WSIB paperwork?

Yes. We’re fully insured and WSIB-covered, and we provide a certificate of insurance and WSIB clearance to landlords, property managers and general contractors on request.

Do you work as a subcontractor?

Yes. We work directly for owners and as a flooring sub for general contractors, builders and property managers. Send drawings or square footage and we’ll price it.
